Hi - Rachel here - an animal and landscape artist based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. I have always loved horses and the rural landscapes where they are pastured, and they are a favorite subject.  The photo is of me way way back when, with my heart horse, Molly.

Additionally, mountains, animals, and birds are also common in my art, reflecting a lifelong love of nature and the outdoors. I love to work in watercolor and oil, and am trying to get friendly with acrylic paint as well. I have been painting off and on all my life, but have become more consistent for the last 2 years. I have taken classes, both in person at the Oak Ridge Art Center and online, to develop my painting skills and enjoy the company of other artists. My sense of silliness comes through from time to time.
